How we test AEKU disposable range in Thailand: Updated
AEKU disposable range advice for Thailand, covering starter kits, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.
Most Thailand buyers start with a well-known brand name and then discover that fit and coil availability matter far more. Charging over USB-C takes about 49 from empty, and the pass-through means the device can be used while plugged in on the smaller batteries.
Local availability in Thailand shapes the practical answer more than the marketing does. What surprised us most was how little the 1.0 Ω mesh coil changes the draw character compared with the 70:30 PG/VG liquid sitting in the chamber.
The Graphite finish hides fingerprints far better than the gloss options, which matters more than it sounds on a device handled daily. Worth noting that the 510 bottom pin takes a small amount of care to keep clean, which we cover in the maintenance section below. For flavour seekers, the learning curve is shorter than the specification list suggests, and daily use is straightforward from the first charge.
The instruction booklet is thin, but the diagrams are clear enough that most people set the device up without further help. Flavour tracking stays consistent from the first day to roughly the 1.0 Ω mesh mark before the profile flattens and a swap makes sense. In Thailand, availability of the 1.0 Ω mesh coil is the practical bottleneck, not the device itself.
Vapour production is more than adequate at 40, and pushing beyond that adds heat rather than anything worth carrying. Materials are unremarkable on paper and feel reassuringly solid in the hand, with no flex in the body at all. The instruction booklet is thin, but the diagrams are clear enough that most people set the device up without further help.
Battery behaviour is where the Kanger K2 earns its keep: the 1200 mAh cell holds a usable charge for most of a day at 40 and recharges over USB-C. If you take one thing from this page, make it the coil compatibility check. A device that needs a coil you cannot source locally becomes an expensive ornament within a month. The throat hit is noticeably firmer than a 70:30 PG/VG blend, so if you prefer a smoother draw, mix accordingly.

Flavour and performance notes
A representative profile is Vanilla Custard: creamy, rich, described as warm vanilla bean with a smooth cream finish. On a 70:30 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 1.0 Ω mesh mark before the coil begins to mute it.
Practical considerations in Thailand
Availability in Thailand is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 1.0 Ω mesh and the USB-C are both in stock before committing, and check that the 510 bottom pin matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and THB rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.
Take the time to get it right the first time; the difference shows up over months of use rather than days.
