Gift Buyers guide to AEKU disposable range (pro)
AEKU disposable range advice for Thailand, covering palette, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.
Most Thailand buyers start with a well-known brand name and then discover that fit and coil availability matter far more. Materials are unremarkable on paper and feel reassuringly solid in the hand, with no flex in the body at all.
The gap between a mid-range and a premium aeku disposable range narrows once you know which components you actually use. The narrow bore mouthpiece is comfortable over long sessions and resists the condensation that gathers on narrower tips.
What surprised us most was how little the 1.4 Ω mesh coil changes the draw character compared with the 80:20 PG/VG liquid sitting in the chamber. The Graphite finish hides fingerprints far better than the gloss options, which matters more than it sounds on a device handled daily. Worth noting that the Q-Plus takes a small amount of care to keep clean, which we cover in the maintenance section below.
The instruction booklet is thin, but the diagrams are clear enough that most people set the device up without further help. Flavour tracking stays consistent from the first day to roughly the 1.4 Ω mesh mark before the profile flattens and a swap makes sense. In Thailand, availability of the 1.4 Ω mesh coil is the practical bottleneck, not the device itself.
Replacement coils are widely available, and the 1.4 Ω mesh coil is the sensible default to keep in stock. The included spare coils are useful for the first fortnight, after which you will be ordering your own. What surprised us most was how little the 1.4 Ω mesh coil changes the draw character compared with the 80:20 PG/VG liquid sitting in the chamber.
The build quality on AEKU Slim is a step above most of what sits in the same price bracket, and the finish resists the chipping that usually shows after a few months of pocket carry. Build quality is the quiet differentiator here, with tight seams and a connector that has not loosened after repeated removal. The Graphite finish hides fingerprints far better than the gloss options, which matters more than it sounds on a device handled daily.

Flavour and performance notes
A representative profile is Passion Fruit Guava: tropical, tangy, described as tropical duo with a sour-sweet balance. On a 80:20 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 1.4 Ω mesh mark before the coil begins to mute it.
Practical considerations in Thailand
Availability in Thailand is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 1.4 Ω mesh and the Micro-USB are both in stock before committing, and check that the Q-Plus matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and THB rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.
Availability shifts often, so check the current listing before committing to a large order.
